Why did you join Red Ventures?
The company’s enthusiasm for new technology was contagious and I wanted to be part of it. The incorporation of multi-platform systems that allows Red Ventures to be a step ahead of their competitors was attractive and very appealing. Another thing that impressed me was the interview process and meeting with key personnel including partners, who were intent on finding the best candidates to join their team. One of the partners said something that was the deciding factor and that was “no one has an ego here” and that is true. There are lots of great people making their contributions.
Why do you like working at Red Ventures?
This company takes the approach of Information Technology as a means to be more competitive and innovative. I have worked for other companies that maintain the strategy of IT as overhead and that is not a pleasant environment when personally desiring to keep abreast of technology. Red Ventures is committed to not only keeping up with technology but as a means to stay on the “cutting-edge”. The partners and staff have built this business model and it is personal and their pride is in that model and success.
What is the most interesting project you have worked on to date at Red Ventures?
I can’t decide between implementing Raid 51 for storage devices or the integration of Windows Active Directory credentials onto non-Window machines. It is too close to decide.
What part of your personal development while at Red Ventures are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the incorporation of new technology from the textbooks or publications into a production environment and greater familiarity with Unix/Linux distributions.
When is the last time you laughed out loud - really laughed - here at the office?
Yesterday at an email a coworker sent me. Before that it was at our offsite meeting.
