Why did you join Red Ventures?
I joined Red because I was given the opportunity to become the trainer for our Home Services unit and then work with the DirectStarTV, Security Choice and Radio Sales Group units. I saw it as a golden opportunity to work across multiple business units and help new agents develop into successful sales people.
Why do you like working at Red Ventures?
I like working here because it's fun and relaxed, but everyone works hard. There aren't any unspoken rules for arriving to work at a certain time and then leaving after the boss leaves, like there are at some major corporations. At Red Ventures it is the quality of the work done that matters. Plus, we are given a lot of freedom in terms of how we want to accomplish our goals.
What is the most interesting aspect of your job?
This could be any number things. One of them is the working with agents to help them develop their skill set and then watching them grow into successful sales people. The other one is seeing the myriad of ways that we go about marketing our products and how that translates into success for the sales agents on the phones.
What part of your personal development while at Red Ventures are you most proud of?
Learning to adjust on the fly. I have worked at large corporations where change didn't happen overnight; instead it happened over weeks and months. At Red Ventures things can change minute to minute. For example, I was asked on a Friday night to develop and facilitate a typical 3 day training program for our Puerto Rico Office the following Monday and get it done in 1.5 days. I was able to put it all together and facilitate a great training that helped the Puerto Rico team win the December sales contest for the Radio Sales group.
When is the last time you laughed out loud - really laughed - here at the office?
I laugh all the time because the people that work at Red Ventures do an awesome job of not taking themselves too seriously while at work and having fun on the job.
